Terrence J: “106 & Park” Host Headed To E! News
TV host Terrence J has already landed a gig following his exit from Black Entertainment Television’s popular music countdown show “106 & Park.”
AlwaysAList.com can report that the talent, whose full name is Terrence Jenkins, has landed a job with E! Entertainment.
Apparently, the 30-year-old host will be co-hosting “E! News” with Giuliana Rancic. Ryan Seacrest perviously hosted with Rancic, however his “American Idol” schedule and his plans to do more contributing at NBC have him “over-extended.”
Terrence J co-hosted “106 & Park” for seven years with former radio deejay Rosci. Both announced they would be leaving the show this past May.
In addition to his hosting stint on “106 & Park,” the Rocky Mount, North Carolina-bred talent has had several acting roles. Terrence J recently starred in the Steve Harvey blockbuster movie “Think Like a Man,” and also had a recurring role on BET’s series “The Game.”
A source close to the network tells AlwaysAList.com that “they’re very supportive of him pursuing his acting career.”
Ironically, Terrence J’s departure from BET mirrors that of former “106 & Park” host A.J. Calloway. When Calloway left the show in 2005 he also joined a news magazine show, “Extra!” where he continues to work as a correspondent.
No word on when Terrence J officially starts on “E! News.” Back in May, he guest-hosted with Rancic and speculation began online that he was in talks with the network.

I really wanted to Terrence to be on E! News. He did a terrific job when he hosted earlier this year. Oh well, ET is lucky to have him…
