Major Move: Lil’ Mo & QuickSilva Jump To Mornings
Radio One is rolling out a new morning show starting on January 19, 2015. “The Fam with Lil Mo and DJ QuickSilva” will premiere on Washington DC’s WKYS 93.9 FM (KISS-FM) and air from 6am to 10am ET.
Once an afternoon show on Radio One’s Baltimore hip-hop station WERQ 92.3 FM (92Q), the new morning show will be hosted by R&B singer and reality star Lil’ Mo and the man known as “The Party Kingpin,” DJ QuickSilva.
Radio One apparently has high hopes for the new morning show, which is replacing the long-running syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show on DC’s hip-hop station. Parr is making the move to DC’s Urban Adult Contemporary station WMMJ 102.3 FM (MAJIC).

The return to WKYS is a homecoming for QuickSilva, a sought-after deejay who previously provided mixes on Parr’s morning show, as well as the station’s evening show.
Working on “The Fam” with QuickSilva is Lil’ Mo’s third hosting stint on radio. The “R&B Divas: LA” star has previously hosted shows in both Washington, DC and Baltimore.
Best known for solo hits like “Superwoman Pt. II,” “4Ever” and “Ta Da,” as well as collaborations with Ja Rule, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Angie Martinez; Lil’ Mo released her sixth studio album, “The Scarlet Letter” in 2014.
