HOT HEADLINES: Aisha Tyler, Kanye West, Eve & Fred Hammond
Comedienne Aisha Tyler is headed for divorce. Jeff Tietjens, the husband of “The Talk” co-hosts, has filed for divorce from his wife citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple met in college while teenagers and has been married for 22 years. Tietjens isn’t seeking spousal support, but according to documents, reserves the right to ask for it at a later date.
The 45-year-old comic addressed her divorce in a tearful segment on “The Talk” on Monday. The also shared that she had intended to keep the matter a secret like Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert and reveal her divorce once it was finalized, but the tabloids found her court filings and broke the news instead. She declared she really wanted to protect her soon-to-be ex during the divorce, because despite their breakup due to growing a part, she still loves him dearly.
Kanye West fans have filed a class action lawsuit over his latest album, “The Life of Pablo.” According to TMZ, a guy named Justin Baker-Rhett is leading the charge, alleging that the trouble-prone rapper misled fans into believing that his CD would only be available on Jay-Z’s music streaming service Tidal. Baker-Rhett said he and two million other fans were duped into paying the $9.99 monthly service for exclusive access to West’s new music, but he has now released it on Apple Music, Spotify and even the rapper’s own website. Baker-Rhett feels the subscription surge helped save Tidal, which was allegedly struggling during that time. His suit is against West and Tidal.
