Sheryl Underwood: “The Talk” Co-Host Mom Dies

“The Talk” co-host Sheryl Underwood’s mother, Joyce Underwood has died.  Ms. Joyce passed on Aug. 12 and she was 79-years-old.

The talk show host confirmed her mom’s death in a statement sent to

“I was blessed to have the greatest mother in the world, whose love and support made me the woman that I am,” Underwood expressed.

Services for the Underwood’s mother will take place on Monday, Aug. 20 at the Sheldon Heights Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois.

In memory of her mother, the 48-year-old TV host is asking for friends, family and fans to make donations to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – “In Memory Of Joyce Underwood” – NEF Million Dollar Endowment Fund- 501(c)(3).

The Hollywood funny woman, who is also a regular contributor on radio to the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show, currently serves as the 23rd International President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
