It’s like pairing wine and chocolate. Cheese and crackers. Peanut butter and jelly.
Disney marries those themes perfectly with their Eat To The Beat concert series during its Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
The nightly performances by an eclectic roster of family-friendly entertainers are the perfect night cap to a day of eating, drinking and dwelling in the magic of Disney.
During my three-day experience at the 87-day festival—this year is runs from August 29 through November 23—I was able to take in shows by two very different acts.
My first Eat To The Beat concert featured Memphis Blues band Southern Avenue, a multicultural collective of singers and musicians that not only bring a fresh, contemporary approach to The Blues, but embody the inclusive nature that is Disney.

I also got to experience Grammy-winning jazz great Kenny G in concert for the very first time.
The Guinness World Record-note holding saxophonist and his perfectly head of curls delighted the crowd with a collection of his hits. (You can check out the video below!)
Backstage before the show, the Seattle-bred superstar who has sold more than $75-million said that his song “Silhouette” is his favorite to perform during concerts.
In addition to the two artists I saw, the lineup of talent performing at Disney during the festival also included Boyz II Men, Sheila E, Billy Ocean, Sugar Ray, Jimmie Allen, Postmodern Jukebox, Baha Men, 98 Degrees, Sheena Easton, Joey Fatone, and Hanson, among others.
Eat To The Beat is one of the many highlights of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
