Detailed Oriented: The 2020 Hyundai Palisades SEL Covers All The Bases

I spent one of those regular hustle and bustle weeks in the 2020 Hyundai Palisades SEL.

I drove it a bunch of times to the grocery store. We traveled together to The Kennedy Center. I went to Baltimore for various events – not once, but twice. I had one hectic schedule and felt like I was moving all over town, but the 2020 Hyundai Palisades SEL was an ideal chariot.

The thing I love about this SUV is its attention to detail. This vehicle is amenity-heavy. I’m talking plenty of power outlets, countless USB ports, compartments to carry all of your things, and lots of storage space.

Even the second row of this car is more impressive than most. There are three different cup holders in the second row, you can control the climate and charge all of your devices back there, and you can even warm those second row seats!

The third row drops for additional storage and cargo space. But the best thing about the execution of this area is the automatic buttons that will drop the third row and bring it back up for you. Don’t you have a SUV where you’re trying to pull chords and push buttons and dropping and lifting the third row seats feel like the games Simon Says and Twister rolled into one?

This is a compact SUV from Hyundai so it’s better on gas than some other SUVs. You’ll get 19 miles per gallon in the city, and between 24 and 26 mpg’s on the highway.

The front cabin is stylishly designed and the seats are very comfortable. Literally, Hyundai has given you almost anything you could think of other than a kitchen and an oven in this truck.

The drive is great and the handling is smooth. Acceleration was solid and I never felt unsafe changing lanes or maneuvering through traffic.

Overall it’s an attractive SUV with more offerings than you’d expect from its price point.
