Breaking Her Silence: Evelyn Lozada Gives ABC First Interview About Chad Johnson
The 36-year-old reality show star will sit down in an exclusive ABC interview with Amy Robach that will air on both “Good Morning America” and “Nightline.”
Originally the interview was supposed to be with “GMA” anchor Robin Roberts, but because the interview is being taped at an off-site hotel versus the ABC Studios, Roberts would have had to miss a treatment session for her blood disorder myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
Lozada was allegedly head-butted by Johnson after she confronted him about finding a receipt for condoms in their car.
The former “Dancing with the Stars” finalist was arrested, dropped from the Miami Dolphins less than 24 hours later and lost a major endorsement deal.
VH1, at the request of Lozada, pulled the couple’s show “Ev and Ocho” from its schedule and does not plan to air it.
Reports of Johnson being previously arrested for domestic violence surfaced as well.
On Aug. 14, Lozada filed for divorce citing her marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
That same day, Johnson released a statement apologizing to fans and declaring that he “truly” loved Evelyn “to death.”
