Alfonso Ribeiro: He’s Not Dead, He’s Yet Alive

“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Alfonso Ribeiro is the latest victim of the online death hoax.

The 40-year-old actor was killed off over the weekend by a faux Facebook page claiming that he had died. was sent numerous emails from concerned fans of the actor asking about his fictitious passing.

Ribeiro, famous for his TV character’s infectious Carlton Dance, had to take to his own Twitter page @Alfonso_Ribeiro to declare that he was still alive and had not actually died. reported on July 21 that Ribeiro had gotten engaged to his girlfriend, Angela Unkrich during a trip to Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

The New York-bred talent currently hosts the Game Show Network show “Catch 21.”
