Pink Passion: Q Parker Strips Down For Breast Cancer

R&B crooner Q Parker is showing his support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating a portion of the proceeds from his upcoming 2013 fitness calendar to support breast cancer and prostate cancer research.

Additionally, further advocating for wellness among women, the Grammy winner has a new track titled “I’ll Wear Pink For You.”

The song was written by Parker along with songwriter Crystal Nicole (Beyoncé, Rihanna) and produced by Marcus “Daheatmizer” Devine for DaFurnace Music Group.

This initiative encourages men to wear an item in a hue of pink to symbolize support for women who have battled breast cancer, as well as to encourage women of all ages to do self-exams and get mammograms if they are in the medically recommended age-range.

Parker, a member of R&B quartet 112, is readying the release of his solo debut, ‘The MANual’ on Oct. 30.

The CD, which features Parker’s current single “Yes,” includes production by Ivan Barias, Kendrick Dean, Chuck Harmony, Warryn Campbell and Dwayne Nesmith (of ThaCorna Boyz production team).
