Lil’ Wayne: Suffers Second Seizure In 24 Hours
Lil’ Wayne has apparently suffered his second seizure in 24 hours according to TMZ, who broke the news of his original seizure last night.
The New Orleans-bred rapper (real name: Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.) suffered the second seizure on an airplane while flying from Texas to Los Angeles today.
The flight Lil’ Wayne was on had to be diverted to Louisiana and he was treated at a local hospital. The 30-year-old entertainer is apparently being released from the hospital this evening.
The Louisiana hospital visit was the rapper’s second hospital visit in 24 hours.
Lil’ Wayne was on a private jet on Thursday and began to have “seizure-like symptoms,” according to what the pilot said when he phoned air traffic control with a “medical emergency.” Once the plane landed, the rapper was transported to a local hospital to get treatment.
After the initial seizure, his rep released a statement that said: “He is at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love.”
The publicist initially declared that Wayne was “was only suffering from dehydration and migraines,” but reports from airport officials completely contradict that.
