Kevin Clash: Elmo Puppeteer Has A Fourth Accuser
There’s now a fourth accuser claiming that they had underage sexual relations with the puppeteer behind the “Sesame Street” character Elmo.
The anonymous accuser, who filed a lawsuit in New York federal court as John Doe, claims that he met and engaged with Kevin Clash in Miami Beach back in 1995 or 1996 when he was either 16 or 17-years-old. Clash was supposed to be in his mid-30s at the time.
Doe claims that Clash flew him to New York and gave him money and a place to stay. During the Big Apple trip, they supposedly had sexual intercourse multiple times.
The fourth accuser declared in his lawsuit that he has “suffered tremendous emotional, mental and psychological damage as a result of the relationship.”
According to TMZ, Doe is represented by an attorney named Jeff Herman who said: “According to our lawsuit, Kevin Clash knowingly paid to transport a minor across state lines for the purpose of satisfying his sexual interests.”
This is the third lawsuit Clash is facing for underage sexual activity allegations—he reached a private settlement with the first accuser and a non-disclosure agreement was signed.
Clash, who resigned from “Sesame Street,” has not commented on the latest lawsuit.
