Luke James: Free Music, Music Video & A Sean Jean Campaign
Luke James has been the male crooner that the industry has been buzzing about for more than a year.
The New Orleans-bred newcomer has had show-stopping performances on BET Honors, Black Girls Rock! and on the Soul Train Awards; and his first single “I Want You” just landed him a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance.
Now James—touted as a favorite by Beyoncé, who congratulated him on his Grammy nod—has released a free digital album called “Whispers in the Dark” that’s available to be downloaded here: http://official.fm/playlists/gAEe
The free EP, mostly produced by Danja, is a musical offering to hold fans over until his debut full-length CD, “Made To Love” drops next year.
In addition to his free EP, the 27-year-old vocalist has also released a music video for his song “Make Love To Me” that features some all-star cameos. Kelly Rowland, Terry Ellis of En Vogue and actor Omari Hardwick all appear in the video that draws likeness from Michael Jackson’s iconic “Smooth Criminal” video and pays homage to the legendary Ernie Barnes’ painting featured on “Good Times.”
James, who was a part of the short-lived J Records duo Luke & Q before becoming a solo star, is also featured in the new Sean John advertising campaign.
