David E. Talbert: Playwright & Filmmaker Becomes A Dad
Congratulations are in order for playwright/filmmaker David E. Talbert.
The Washington, DC-bred talent and his wife Lyn are the proud parents of a baby boy named Elias David Talbert.
The couple’s son was born on January 10 and weighed 8 lbs, 7 oz and was 21 inches long.
The 46-year-old playwright rose to stardom for writing and producing high-quality touring plays like “Mr. Right Now,” “His Women, His Wife,” “The Fabric Of A Man,” and “He Say, She Say But What Does God Say?.”
In recent years, he and his wife recently co-produced plays like “What My Husband Doesn’t Know” starring Michelle Williams, Brian J. White and Morris Chestnut; and “Love In The Nick Of Tyme” starring Terry Dexter, Avant, Trenyce and Chestnut.
In 2008, Talbert released his debut film “First Sunday” starring Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan and Katt Williams.
His next movie is called “Baggage Claim” and is based off his 2005 novel by the same name. The film will star Paula Patton, Derek Luke, Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Djimon Hounsou and Trey Songz.
