TLC Film: Lil’ Mama & Keke Palmer Cast

Pop trio TLC originally said they did not want to cast known actresses in the VH1 bio-film about the group, but apparently that has all changed.

Two casting choices have been revealed for the film.

Rapper Lil Mama has been cast as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in the movie.

Left Eye died in a car accident in Honduras in 2002.

“High School Musical” star Monique Coleman had previously expressed interest in playing the role of Left Eye.

The part of TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas has been landed by “Akeelah and the Bee” star Keke Palmer.

The role is a dream come true for the former Nickelodeon star, who grew up being a huge fan of TLC as a child.

No word on who has been cast as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins.
