Un-retired: Toni Braxton Announces New Album & Tour
Grammy winner Toni Braxton announced earlier this year that she was quitting the music business because she did not “feel the love for music anymore.”
Now, the 45-year-old ‘Un-Break My Heart’ singer has had a change of heart and just announced plans for a tour late summer. Braxton will kick off her tour in Las Vegas on Aug. 9 and play 14 cities. The tour concludes on Aug. 13 in Atlanta.
Additionally, Braxton is in the studio recording a new duets CD with singer/songwriter Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. Braxton was originally signed to Babyface’s LaFace Records and he has penned some of her biggest hits during her career.
“I think I’ve made the right decision to get back involved with songwriting and working with Kenny,” Braxton recently said.
The pair’s first duets offering will bow this fall on Motown Records.
In addition to her music endeavors, the Severn, Maryland-bred vocalist stars on the WE TV reality series, “Braxton Family Values” along with her sisters and mother.
