Capitol Hill Hottie: Gayle King’s Daughter Named One Of DC’s “Most Beautiful”

The congressional newspaper The Hill has released its 10th annual “50 Most Beautiful People” list of Capitol Hill workers, White House staffers and executive branch players.

While Republican Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona topped The Hill’s list, a semi-familiar face Kirby Bumpus came in at number two, making her the “Most Beautiful” female moving and shaking in the Nation’s Capital.

Bumpus is the 27-year-old daughter to CBS anchor Gayle King and the god-daughter to Oprah Winfrey.

A single, Democrat from Greenwich, Conn., Bumpus arrived in Washington two years ago for a job as a special assistant at the Department of Health and Human Services, where her interest is prevention policy.

“I’ve been blessed to have great female role models in my life,” Bumpus told The Hill. “It would be hard for me not to absorb some of their perspective, though I’m still my own person.”

Like her mother, Bumpus is a proud foodie. She’s also a self-taught cook who loves to prepare meals for friends and family.

Also making The Hill’s list was Alisha Johnson (spokeswoman, Environmental Protection Agency); Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.); Pete Haviland-Eduah (deputy press secretary, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.)); Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.); Tonya Williams (legislative director, Vice President Joe Biden); Emmanual Guillory (senior legislative assistant, Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas)); among others.
