Lee Thompson Young: Former Disney Star Dead At 29

Former Disney star Lee Thompson Young is dead at age 29.

Authorities suspect that former “The Famous Jett Jackson” star died of an apparent suicide. Young was shot from what appears to be a self-inflected gun shot wound.

The Columbia, SC-bred actor had been playing Detective Barry Frost on the TNT show “Rizzoli & Isles.” When Young no-showed for work today on the show, producers called his landlord to have them check on him. When the landlord opened the door, he discovered Young’s dead body.

Young has also had roles on series like “CSI: NY,” “Smallville” and “Scrubs.” In 2004, he starred as running back Chris Comer in the 2004 movie “Friday Night Lights.”

AlwaysAList.com had a chance to interview the actor for our syndicated “Jawn’s Juice” column on the Houston set of that movie.
