Blast From The Past: The Jets Reunite
They were 80’s music stars who took time off from the limelight but now The Jets are back with new music and a reunion tour.
Best known for hits like ‘Crush On You,’ ‘You Got It All,’ ‘Make It Real,’ and ‘Rocket 2 U,’ the family band The Jets were made up of eight brothers and sisters of the Wolfgramm family: Leroy, Eddie, Eugene, Haini, Rudy, Kathi, Elizabeth, and Moana.
As offspring of parents who emigrated from the South Pacific nation of Tonga to the US, this Minneapolis-bred ensemble got an early start in music singing and playing instruments around the house.
Since making their debut on MCA Records with a self-titled CD in 1986, The Jets released eight studio records before a going on hiatus after their 1998 release, “Then & Now.”
After nearly a 15-year break from the business (and longer for the siblings who left the group before their last record), the group is readying a new CD and tour.
Additional details on the CD release and the tour cities were not available at press time, but you can check out TheJetsBand.com for more updates.
