Arsenio Hall: Back In Stride Again

“The Arsenio Hall Show” is back and better than ever according to the Nielsen ratings.

The late night talk show hosted by comedian Arsenio Hall had a stellar debut on Monday with 1.9 million household rating. That rating and his ranking in key demographics allowed him to beat out the competition — “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Conan” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

Despite a slight dip, the Tuesday numbers were strong as well.

Hall returns to his signature format after a 20-year hiatus. His original version of “The Arsenio Hall Show” ended in 1994.

The 57-year-old comedian originally revealed in November 2010 that he was itching to get back on late night television, but at the time felt the market was too crowded.

After winning Donald Trump’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” in May 2012, CBS TV Distribution—the company behind the original version of his late night show—announced that it would be launching a new version of “The Arsenio Hall Show” in 2013.

“The Arsenio Hall Show” is produced by Eye Productions Inc., in association with Arsenio Hall Communications Ltd. and Octagon Entertainment Productions, and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Hall, John Ferriter and Neal Kendall are executive producers.

The show is anchored by the 17 stations in the Tribune Broadcasting station group, which is also a partner in the show, and predominantly airs on CW stations.
