Style Matters: Tyson Beckford Covers Uptown’s Fashion Issue

Supermodel Tyson Beckford is featured on the September Fashion Issue of Uptown magazine.

The world’s most famous male model was shot by photographer Kah Poon in New York’s famed 110-year-old Mansfield Hotel and shows off some dapper fall fashions for the sophisticated gentleman.

Uptown’s Editor in Chief, Isoul Harris told that choosing Beckford was a no-brainer for the glossy.

“Months ago, when we were discussing our September Fashion Issue and who we wanted to cover it, we had the idea of paying homage to the male supermodel. And there is only one, universally recognized, iconic male supermodel: Tyson Beckford. He has transcended the times and with his new Ralph Lauren campaign, various business endeavors and television projects around the world, he remains a relevant force in the fashion industry,” he offered.

Harris said that while Beckford’s spread is a showcase of men’s fashion, the images are something that women will love too!

“His 10-page fashion spread in this issue not only features a great selection of this season’s best looks for men, but each frame is simply beautiful,” he added.

Uptown’s Fashion Issue is on newsstands now. Check out a sneak peak of the shoot below and go to for additional information.
