Omarosa: Don’t Judge “Preachers of LA”

Reality TV veteran Omarosa Manigault isn’t just a former TV villain, but “The Celebrity Apprentice” all-star is also an ordained preacher.

The one-named talent, who has lasted more than a decade in the TV business, was recently asked by whether she liked Oxygen’s controversial reality show, “Preacher of LA.”

Omarosa told the celebrity blog that she does like the show so far.

“I think people should give it a chance – they’re trying to pull it before you see the whole story. The fact that people are talking about church – I’m talking about folks who ain’t never come to church – my good friends who never been in my sanctuary are talking about pastors, and talking about religion. It’s good. Any time that you can get people thinking about ministry, thinking about their relationship with God and thinking about salvation, it’s good,” she explained.

The 39-year-old personality understands why the show has raised some eyebrows, but challenges viewers to keep an open mind about the show.

“Now whether it’s controversy – that’s for people to decide themselves. It’s entertainment but we are talking about religion, and that trust me – I’ve been in ministry for six years and it’s very difficult to get people to do that,” she added.

“Preachers of LA” cast

Omarosa is currently the assistant pastor of the Weller Street Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles.

Would Omarosa be a good addition to a second season of “Preachers of LA?” Should there be a female preacher in the mix?
