Music Matters: “Real Housewives” Porsha Williams Releasing An EP

Porsha Williams of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is ready to tell her story on wax.

The recently divorced reality TV star is in the studio working on a five-song EP that will have music that talks about her failed marriage to her ex-husband, former NFL player Kordell Stewart.

Williams, who recently dropped her married name Stewart, said her inspiration to record came from being in Kandi Burruss play last fall, “A Mother’s Love.”

“Kandi recently had a play that I took part in. I sang and I danced and I got the acting bug. Now I’m in the studio and I’m working on a song that is amazing and it speaks to my past relationship and its going to be released really soon,” she told

The 31-year-old socialite said she didn’t want to attempt recording a full-length CD, but hopes an EP helps her get her feet wet in the music business.

“I’m not gonna really jump all the way out there because these are coming from my heart. So as they come, I’m not gonna put too much on myself and say 13 [songs]… a whole album. These songs are definitely…it’s an anthem, for all women,” she explained.

Williams recently came under fire for an episode of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” where she thought the Underground Railroad was an actual train.
