Diana Ross: Kicking Off Tour In Time For Black Music Month
Veteran superstar Diana Ross is headed out on tour just in time for Black Music Month.
The 70-year-old entertainer will perform concert dates in the United States and Canada for the North American leg of her “In The Name of Love Tour.”
Appropriately, the former Motown diva will kick off the tour in Detroit on June 13. She’ll play 15 additional dates through September (detailed tour schedule below).
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee occasionally performs spot dates but does not tour regularly.
If you decide to catch the “In The Name of Love Tour,” get seats up front or you won’t get a good view. Ross typically has does not allow venues to show her on the monitors or Jumbotron screens at venues.
AlwaysAList.com saw the Grammy™ Life Time Achievement Award perform at the Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival several years ago and attendees booed the singer for the duration of her hour-long set for not demanding promoters turn off all video.
