“R&B Divas” star Angie Stone has launched a new weekend radio show called “Stone Cold R&B.”
The three-hour show airs on both Majic 107.5FM and 97.5FM in Atlanta.
This is Stone’s first radio venture and the ‘More Than A Woman’ singer told AlwaysAList.com that she’s loving it so far.
“The first show was amazing. I just loved it,” an excited Stone told us. “People know I have the gift of gab and now I get to showcase it on the radio. Plus, a real diva should always multitask and have more than one egg in the basket!”
As an advocate of R&B, Stone said this show gives her the platform to play music by the R&B greats who inspired her like Gladys Knight, The Isley Brothers, Chaka Khan and Anita Baker; as well as Stone’s younger favorites like Joe, Tweet, Musiq Soulchild and Avery Sunshine.
“I love all of those artists and get to play their songs. I respect soulful artists who eat, sleep and breathe R&B,” she expressed, before adding: “And of course I’d be remiss if I didn’t say D’Angelo. Everyone knows I love his work.”
There have been talks of trying to syndicate “Stone Cold Radio” in the future, but right now Stone’s show will just air in Atlanta and can be streamed online.
